Terms of Service

This is a placeholder page, not a real Terms of Service. It exists so the app has a working link and a clear statement of where things stand, not to satisfy any legal requirement. Per the project's internal legal risk assessment (LEGAL_BOUNDARIES.md), a real Terms of Service — reviewed by counsel licensed in the relevant jurisdiction — must exist before this platform collects any real user's financial data, even in a private beta. That has not happened yet.

What this platform is

Meridian (working name) provides software tools for investor–founder discovery and workflow only. It is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, funding portal, or exchange; it does not recommend investments, does not handle funds or securities, and is not a party to any transaction between users. Match scores are computed from a deterministic, published methodology based on user-declared criteria — not investment advice.

What still needs to happen before this is real

• A real legal entity formed (LLC or C-corp)
• Terms of Service drafted and reviewed by a licensed attorney
• The visibility/verification/broker-dealer questions in LEGAL_BOUNDARIES.md resolved with counsel
• A final company name and domain
